i am new to this site and have had a reef for just over a year ,remodeled a forclosure home after i moved to america from england ,i had tropical fish before so decided to try a reef aquarium ,love it and i have to try really hard not to buy corals every week (lol)ok i have a 55 gal tank set in my wall that can be viewed from both sides,its a acrylic tankh with homemade overflow goes to my basement were part of water goes through a skimmer in my sump then goes into a 55 gallon tank that i remodeled with several chambers the first icontains filter socks ,then a chamber to reduce micro bubbles then though the middle part which is the refuigium filled with some live rock and miracle mud ,then goes to a sump area were pump takes the water to me reef,through 2 inlet pipes .i have 2 power heads to incease flow and the heaters are all inmy filter tank in basement . i have 120 gal in my system 55 which is my reef the rest in the basement (a little big for the size of the tank but i thought the more water the less problems i would have.
ok in my tank i have .2 clowns,3 yellow line chromis also called orange line so i been told(which have just spawned for the second time in five weeks yeeeeh )1 mandrin goby 2 damsels a black dwarf angel .corals flowerpot coral,yellow colony polyps ,pipe organ frag,pulsing zenia frag,bubble coral, red mushrooms,galaxy coral,leather coral,star polyp,3 rocks with mixed colony polyps and mushrooms on them,and a bubble tip anemone which my single occeralis clown loves ,have no up to date pics as can not take any good enough to post lol,my post some old pics but they are not that good and the tank inhabitante has changed a bit since then ,.ps has anyone else had chromis spawn in ther community tank i was excited by this as i am assuming that conditions have to be fairly good for fish to spawn is that true ?have not managed to save any fry as yet not set up for rearing and was not expecting babies ok maybe this was a little long got carried away lol tanks and glad to be here ,
