I am interested in buying a micro acan and am wondering:
- when looking at them, how to I tell the difference between a micro and a frag of baby lords (meaning the ones with the bigger polyps)?
- will they look just like small lords as they grow or do they have a different look? I would like a coral that looks like a small fluffy lord when grown in the right conditions.

Traditional micromussa (micromussa amakusensis) are generally(not always) different colors and patterns than micro lords (aka Acan Lords) in addition to the smaller size. Though if you have a frag of just one small polyp it probably would be hard to tell if it is just a juvenile micro lord or the smaller micromussa. After seeing enough though I feel comfortable I can usually tell which it is with no problem, but hard to put that into words lol.

They do generally grow pretty much the same as lords and will have the same growth process... just with heads that are smaller. Though again I find that the colors and patterns of micromussa is generally different that what we see with micro lords. I also find my micromussa do not get quite as fluffy as my lords do. Not sure if that is just me or if that is normal though.
