This is starting to take over, it was nice at 1st but starting to be unsightly.
Can I get an ID and something that may eat it, 10 gallon tank. Currently have 2 trochus & 1 turbo snails.

Thanks

That’s wild. I’ve never seen that. I’m guessing sponge too but don’t really know. Sorry.

I am going with sponge also. Where is the rock from?

No idea. What does it feel like?
It is fairly firm and refuses to scrape off with a brush unless removing the rock and aggressively scrubbing in bucket. If pulled off it will keep its form but is flexible.

Rock is very old, few years. I think it came in on a zoa frag. It spread very fast the last month. 2 months ago there was none

Thanks for the help, no critters will eat it? Emerald crab ect?

If it is flexible I do not believe it is coralline algae possibly some type of ear sponge.
