I qt everything wet. All corals, rocks, inverts go 76 days fallow. I’m in the process of sourcing some micro brittle sea stars and trying to figure out how I’d qt them. They must go fallow for 76 days min. I can put em in w lots of established live rock and feed the tank. Would that do? Would probably qt them w a bunch of corals too. What do u think?

y'all fr qting everything out here

I wasn’t always like this :( I’ve lost so many fish. Ive watched fish struggle. I’ve done everything I could. I’ve watched them die. Slowly. I just can’t do it anymore. I know there are other ways. This is the way I’ve chosen.

Completely understand not wanting to lose more fish. :- )

Live blackworms, frozen/live clam bits and frozen foods (LRS, RODS REEF, JIMBOS GUMBO)
are your next level of attack in keeping your fish healthy.
Nothing beats live gut bacteria for helping your fish maintain their health and immune system. :- )

How many QT tanks are you running?

The one I have just sits in the same spot all the time and waves it's arms in the water to catch stuff to eat. That said, I don't think they need much in the way of QT except stuff to eat that floats in the water.

I can’t get live black worms anywhere around me but I’ll have a look at the rest of your suggestions. I do feed live bribe shrimp if that’s any help?

Just the 1 qt. It’s been running (medication free) for over a mth w 2 small fish. I’m feeding it daily and keeping an eye on ammonia and nitrates. When it’s time to add the stars, I’ll remove the fish. I’d like a nice stable environment for them. Will use clean water from DT for water changes + a pile of established live rock. I don’t want them to starve but I also don’t know if they’ll accept food and if so, what kind of food. U know? DT will be 20g cycled w established live rock, HOB filter, air stone, and heater. Will qt corals w them.

tbh just don't QT them no point they don't actively chase food so I would think they would just starve

I’m trying to figure out if I could hand feed them and, if so, what. I could just flood the system w small bits of food and do very frequent water changes. Maybe?
