one of our tanks has "micro bta's" but I cant find any info on them anyone herd of them?

they get the size of a quarter, once they get bigger than that they split. all are white speckled brown with purple tips

here is the best pic I have right now you can see the clowns host them

It's probably majano anemone they come in different colors some look like bubble tip anemones with nice colors but they are a bad anemone

nope not manjo! never seen a manjo bubble like a bta or as big as these. at least in the 15 years I have been keeping reef tanks.(but you never know)
it origonally started off as a 2"-3" nem now dosnt get bigger than a quarter-half dolar size

I dont think they even sting? I have even seen the gobies perched in them. never seen a manjo bubble like a bta

These are majanos some look really nice

again not the same. I have seen manjos, I even put some in a predator tank I had a few years back. I will try to get a close up pic in the next couple days.

I always thought manjos had a nasty sting? wouldnt think a 3/4" adult clown would be able to host even one, nevermind on a rock with about 20 of them I have even seen the little yellow watchman goby sitting in them

Tulip anemones is the common name. Not sure on the scientific name. They are just as bad as majanos. They are larger and much nicer colored.
