Micro Bubbles Affecting Protein Skimmer?

I ramped up the flow in my sump and caused some micro bubbles near my protein skimmer intake. My skimmers foam head a few moments later no longer had a foam head. It's a new skimmer (Bubble Magus Curve 12), but still seemed to already have started producing skim. Anyone else ever have this problem?
