Micro bubbles due to skimmer

Typically they go away once the skimmer is broken in or you can use a sponge block after the skimmer to reduce micro bubbles

Thank you! Any link to break in methods? Or just set so large bubbles aren’t collecting and keep an eye on it?

I don't have a link. Any new skimmer I've used took a few days to break in. When I took the skimmer out for a good cleaning it would produce a lot of micro bubbles for a day or two. Is this an in sump skimmer?

No sir/ma’am. HOB aquamaxx 1.5. I’ll give it Time. I have a couple weeks before starting livestock. If anything maybe I’ll move to JBJ in tank skimmer and save this for the next one

I'm a sir, lol. Some hob skimmers I've used took a bit to break in. Give it a little time and make small adjustments.

Any new skimmer will do this. I have a HOB skimmer and cut a piece of plastic coat hanger and slid it between the rim of the tank and the skimmer to raise it 1/2 inch or so.

Mine came with something like this on it.

Link no bueno. Swapped to a 4” return so it’s inder the surface, less micro bubbles. Hopefully in time...
