Hello all!
I have a 45gal redsea e170 max that I am getting tons of micro bubbles in the display tank. The weird thing Is that I still get them when the return and skimmer are off. They seem to be coming from the wave maker, and for the life of me I cannot figure out how.
I have attached a couple pictures, you can see it is a solid 4" below the surface and there is no vortex down to it.
Has anyone else encountered this before?

Thanks!

It doesn’t clear up after skimmer and return are off for a while?

Sometimes I get bubbles that I watch stay in the water column for an hour I swear lol

Doesn’t look like you have a ton. Tank looks good!

Can you get a video??

I'll have to try, maybe my definition of a ton is off. I swear they are still there after hours. I do have a small amount of Algae, could this be the cause of bubbles in the water column?

May be from return pump if one and gyre pump is picking up the bubbles entering tank

I was kinda thinking the same thing, I have a refugium right before the return without a bubble guard. I'll have to leave the return off for longer and check if the bubbles die down.
