Return pump from my sump is pumping in these tiny little bubbles. What do I do to fix this problem? I have a guard on the pump intake which keeps big items out.

If it is from your pump you are sucking n air from somewhere, check all your connections. If your skimmer is upstream from the return pump maybe the bubbles are coming from there.

Hmm, my pump is completely submerged and so is the first 2 inches of the return hose. I run an ASM G1-x skimmer that does create bubbles but they are bigger than what i am seeing in the tank. There is also a couple dividers to reduce bubbles.

I think it is the pump. Here is my setup

Maybe the intake on the pump is to close to the waters edge causing it to create a whirpool every now and then and draw in some air?

Shine a flash light through the side of the chamber that holds your sand and heater. You will probably see bubbles in that area. Which means they are probably coming from the skimmer. The reason they are smaller in the tank is the return pump chops them up. If you have no bubbles in that chamber or in the return area more than likely your pump is sucking in air from the surface or the pump has something in the impeller causing cavitation.

Yea it's deff from the skimmer. How do i fix it?

I see you have a sponge over the outlet for the skimmer... maybe try a filter sock instead? I used one for mine and it cut the micro bubbles to nil.
