I have a lot of micro bubbles comming from the sump. Any suggestions?? its not the protein skimmer since i already turn it off , i just set it up my return pump its a aquati lifee 870 gph and my drain is 1''

any ideas pleaser

Can't tell but if the water in the sump is flowing over that last baffle into pump/return section it can cause it! Also option is pump sucking air from somewhere! I would raise the water level in your return pump section to see if it helps. Make sure and also look at your sump and see if the bubbles are traveling through there also. How long has the tank been set up??? Pics show return pump section looks like 2 different sections of the sump to me. If bubbles are coming out of the drain into sump then maybe put a filter sock on there to try to catch them. That's all I got after looking at pics from what I can tell maybe someone else will chime in! Good Luck

Maybe post a video showing water flow through the sump also. Might be able to see it better that way.

the tank only have 3 days old the last pic was with another sump i have to replace because a leak s:s

How fast is the water moving through the new sump? Can you get a pic of the whole sump and not pieces that I can't put together so I can see what I am working with as a whole. If water is moving too fast through sump it can possibly carry the bubbles and just moving them around. You can also put a ball valve on the return pump outlet to slow the flow through everything to see if that solves it!

Pump section is just under water? Id have that water level to the same height as coming over from skimmer. Just asking more to be made as it goes down the water fall.

Also bacterial blooms can look like micro bubbles, so you may want to do all the above but also wait a week or two and see what happens then.

I put the valve in the return , the filter sock and filter floss in last chamber bubble trap m still getting some bubbles but its fine to me, now i want to resolve the problem of the durso pipe gurgling and back pressure thats is a scary sound btw... :/ m sorry i make so many question s but m kinda slow for plumbing things... :/

Does the durso have a hole in the top/cap?? If so stick a piece of airline tubing in there and move it up and down to see if that stops the noises/back pressure. If it has no hole in the cap then it needs one with a piece of airline.

yes have a hole with a hard air line tubing tomorrow m going to try your idea

It should work with that tubing also just need to move it up or down to see if that solves it. If not I have also have to remove the tubing and just one size at a time drill the hole in the top of the durso larger until that worked. It is different with each tank and something you will have to experiment with!

After looking at photo of sump it could be because of the bend and rise in your drain line but just throwing stuff out there as usually drains flow downward with no upward sections. The coupling that you have screwed onto the bulkhead drain on the outside threads is a different thread then the threads on the bulkhead. All plumbing should be run on inside of the bulkhead. If it is slip fitting then glue in pipe and if threaded then you thread pvc into that never on the outside threads. After looking at that you should be able to shorten the drain pipe so there is no upward run or twist in the pipe with a minimal of pvc fittings.
