My skimmer is creating a bunch of micro bubbles in my display. I have a pad in the bottom inbetween the skimmer and return section. Ive tried to clean the pad and nothing seems to work, Any ideas on how to stop this?

Is this a new skimmer? How long have you had it set up? It may need a couple of weeks to settle in. Additionally do you have any baffles between the skimmer compartment and the return pump (or is it just the pad)?

Yes it’s only been running about 2 weeks. Just recently upgraded it. Here is how my sump looks.

When it breaks in a bit the bubbles would be near non existant. Can put some sponge close to the intake on the return if you feel need to.

+1. Give it a couple more weeks and if it is still an issue then lets us know.

I used a sponge to block compartments. Took care of bubbles and gave me extra surface area for bacteria
