Micro Bubbles

I have a 34 gallon Red Sea Max tank with the stock protein skimmer

I think this is the one I have

I mention the protein skimmer because I had it off last night on accident when setting up the tank and I turned it on this morning and it went from the water being clear to just micro bubbles everywhere. I'm assuming the skimmer had something to do with this. Will this eventually stop or will this be an issue until I fix an issue? The skimmer hasn't been used in quite some time before yesterday.

Does anyone have an idea of why these bubbles are happening?

Skimmer just needs time to break in. Should stop in a couple of weeks.

Thank you! I turned it off again just now to see if it was 100% the issue and the bubbles went away in just a few minutes.

Yea my tunze skimmer did the samething for a few weeks before it settled in.

I fixed it in case anyone stumbles on this in the future.

So my skimmer was creating the foam, but it wasn't bubbling over the top. So I figured it wasn't all hooked up correctly. I took the whole set up apart, made sure the air hose was clear, plugged it all back in. The micro bubbles went away instantly and the foam is now bubbling into the cup.
