Im seeing a lot about micro bubbles, Im trying to figure out what the big deal is with them. Some people post that they are bad some post that they arent. Im reading a lot and there seems to be no real consensus as to wether they are bad or not. What are the cons to micro bubbles? Some I see are if they are excessive they can accumulate under live rock and can be unsightly, they create a spray so salt gets all over fixtures but other than that, what is the real major concern with micro bubbles?

I think the biggest hang up people have is they are unsightly. They impede on the clarity of the tank and ability to see livestock. Micro bubbles=low water level or a problem with the plumbing, or maybe the skimmer is not working correctly. I'm sure there are other problems that would cause micro bubbles too. Usually these problems are an easy fix once they're identified.
