I have a sizeable lord colony that was fragged, and one of the mature polyps was damaged. The rim of the polyp was cut, but there was no damage to the central disk or the mouth, just the skirt. My question is: will this polyp die? Or will it be able to heal itself? Any and all help is appreciated

That’s great! What are some things I should watch for as it’s healing? It’s one of my favorites
Watch for new tissue growth. Since the edge is damaged, you may experience some die off or it may just heal without dying at all. If it goes the die off route, you should see pale flesh forming over the old skeleton that will turn into the original color of the polyp over time. Feeding at night with reefroids or similarly sized food will help it recover quicker :)

How likely is it that the whole polyp will die? Or will it just be part of it
