my tanks are fairly young. So in an attempt to help them along I started dosing microbacter 7 complete. Had really good luck with the Mb7 start so I figured to try this. Followed their directions and in about 2 weeks everything looked great. First thing I noticed was I didn't have to clean the glass and after another week the glass was still clean. Then the sps started to get tip burn and a few colonies rtn'd. During this time I was keeping all steady at 8.3 where I have always run my tanks. So I immediately checked nitrate and po4 to find that they were completely untraceable. And we feed heavy. Especially my wife. I then discontinued use of mb7 and shut the skimmer down. Order some po4 and nitrate (which is nuts to me) and started dosing. So far still no traceable nutrients and cuc are starting to die. And euphyllia are barely extending. Been dosing po4 and no3 for 2 weeks now. Couldn't buy a diatom T this point. I believe this caused the dreaded dinos in the other tank
Luckily I have 2 tanks so I moved the coral and went dark for 10 days. Appear to be holding on to just enough nutrients in that tank to hold them off now. But still no diatoms or algae of any sort in either tank.

I’ve started using MB7 after I had a Dino outbreak. I thought I overfed as well leading up to it, but turns out I probably wasn’t. My levels all hit zero. I started to feed very heavily (added flake food to my normal pellet and frozen food). Finally got my nutrients to rise. Almost 3 weeks into MB7 and heavy heavy feeding, Dino’s are receding and I’ve been able to maintain elevated nutrients.

So far MB7 isn’t causing my levels to bottom but probably helping not have them raise to crazy levels.
