Hi everyone,
Has anyone noticed a drop in salinity after adding Microbacter7? Salinity before adding- 1.025 and after 1.023. Is this just part of how it works and it will rise again in a few hours? Or am I crazy! :)

I wouldn’t think it would effect the salinity. I have dosed micobacter 7 for years and I’ve never noticed a drop. I use it on new tanks and probably every month on my display.

Must be test error.

You can never lower salinity with an additive any more than just pure fresh water does, and to drop from sg = 1.025 to 1.023 means you would need to add 8.7% of the tank volume (so 8.7 gallons pure fresh water added to 100 gallons of tank water).

i hope you did not add that much MB7. lol

I’m guessing it was a test error also. I tested again twice and it was 1.025. Thank you!
