Microbacter7 & Coral Snow for Cyano?

I have a case of Cyano and also green turf algae in my tank. Want to avoid chemicals if possible. Am doing frequent water changes and have upped my flow.

I’ve heard of Microbacter7 mixed with Coral Snow helping defeat Cyano. Has anyone tried this method? If so, what’s your opinion on it?

Also if you have a better method for defeating Cyano can you please share? Thanks in advance!

I think the coral snow with MB7 is better at preventing cyano than curing it once its populated on the sand. I wish I was more help but I've been dealing with GHA and cyano in one of my tanks and am struggling. I vacuum it when it's on the sand.

Need tank stats. If NO3 is low or undetectable that’s a good place to start. The water changes could also potentially be replenishing trace nutrients that specific algae may be using and thus exacerbating the outbreaks.

Cyano clean is a bacterial blend that helped me get rid of Cyano in one of my tanks. Took about 3 weeks of daily addition of bacteria but I would say I saw a reduction within 2 days of starting use.

Reduced organics and manual removal are good options with cyano.

nothing wrong with trying calcium carbonate particles (although you say not a chemical, yet it obviously is). They likely help by reducing organics.
