Bknapp, I cant believe youve never read the ecobak thread! I know it is mentioned in there about using MB7 or Special Blend at least a few times in order to out compete bad bacteria(cyano) with good bacteria.

I have read the thread. I used MB7 to help seed the pellets, to help with the initial cycle, to also help with bacteria when needed and, to help combat cyano. And I did not see any positive signs against cyano with MB7. I looked at buying Special blend once and could not find it. Does Special Blend work better against cyano than MB7?

About how much do you add and how often? I'm curious how long a 16oz bottle would last on my 150 gallon system in which I do 15 gallon WC's every other week....?

If you follow bottle dosage about 4 doses to start it but you use much less as a maintenance
