So I've searched various different forums, and checked the normal solutions that would work for my freshwater systems. My tank has officially cycled and is now entering the uglies (Diatoms, everywhere, hurray, kind of).

Its been about 4 days since I did my first water change to bring nitrates down, and I expected to see a little microbubbling in the tank due to agitation, however after 4 days it has yet to die down. I have a Biocube 32 AIO, with the stock pump and a current USA 660 powerhead (I have a second power head, but no real reason to add it yet, as I don't have any corals in the tank, and just have a single clown and 5 hermits).

The powerhead is well below the surface, so it isn't pulling air in, and return pump and plumbing all appear to be working as intended. I sealed the elbow for the return mouth before I filled it with epoxy, because I've had similar issues before with elbows and pulling in air. The 3 chambers in the back of the tank are full of water, and the pump is sufficiently submerged. I don't currently have a skimmer in the system, and I'm only using the stock filer pad that came with the system when I bought it. I believe its a 3 pad filer with some floss in it, not 100% positive.

The system was cycled using live sand, dry rock and a bottle of Tims one and only. The bubbles definitely appear to be coming from the return, I'm just not sure where in the system the air is being pulled in from.

Suggestions?

Thank you in advance.

I guess I would work backwards, eliminating possible sources one at a time. Turn everything off, then turn on just one pump or powerhead and see if the bubbles return. If not, turn it back off and turn on the next item. Rinse and repeat until you find the offender.
Once you do that, you can start to look at causes.

I agree with T-J
I know that you said the back if full but, If you don't have enough water in chambers 2 & 3 then the water flowing in from chamber 1 could be your culprit. You don't need to follow the fill line mark on pump side window.
