Hey fellow reefers,

I have issues with micro bubbles in my frag tank.

The routing is, sump --->pumped upstairs to Display tank -----> drain to frag tank -----> drain to sump.

I put a T in the return between the DT and FT to get rid of cavitation, I run a "U" with a breather entering the frag tank, then shoved some foam in it and I am still having problems. Pictures attached. Anyone have any ideas?

Maybe a valve on the breather end (instead of the sponge) to control air flow?
It's just water from the Display tank from upstairs.... I guess I am not understanding what you mean.

The tube in the frag tank that you stuck the black sponge into? If you had some way to regulate the air it was sucking in (beyond the sponge) that might help.

That's the in put into the frag tank (return) from the upstairs stairs display tank

Yes, the open tube could be creating all those micro bubbles.
So before I put that in it was actually worse, I was running it straight in
