Heyy guys I have a 40g reef build with a sump and no filter sock (detritus suspension). The way of trapping nutrients is a filter pad in the media stage. I have a bubble trap which the bubbles still make it through into the tank. The outlet from the overflow is very powerful and lots of bubbles splash out so there is whats causing it but what do I do to fix it? Thanks Guys

Try isolating the bubbles , must be carefull you could wind up replicating a protein skimmer

Micro bubblers can be beneficial in more than one way. I haven't tryed it myself but apparently you can promote the algae growth in one location. If you centralize the growth you won't have to clean the display as much your algae will grow in that certain location first. (That's the theory anyway)
