No microbubbles in the sump anywhere. I assume they are coming from one or both of the batbs in the pics, correct? Can only get the clamps so tight. What next?

If this is all a brand new setup that was just started up they will dissipate on their own over a few days.

Micro bubbles would not be coming from the return line back to the tank. This line is under pressure not a vacuum drawing air in. They have to be coming from your skimmer or your return pump sucking air in.

It's 2 months old. Sump looks bubble free. Just coming out of the nozzles.

I will. But do you know why the bubbles are coming out if the nozzles? Mo simp bubbles, nothing from the skimmer.

Venturi syphon says otherwise... this is not a deadheaded pressurized circuit. Its water free flowing through open plumbing, it absolutely can and will draw air in through a bad connection without leaking. Though I expect salt creep will kick in eventually. Most skimmers would be a easy example. Not saying that's OP's issue either, just possible.

How close are powerheads to the surface? Sometimes they can occasionally form cyclones(?) And draw air into the propeller

I have the skimmer unplugged now to see if they go away.
