The other day I was cleaning up a frag and a piece of the rock the frag was attached to broke tearing 2 of the polyps, a couple of days later I noticed the whole micromussa frag is covered in what looks like a dark color mucas/slime that looks like it has bubbles in it, I would post pictures but wasn't able to get none before going to work, what could this be, is it a defense mechanism or is it the frag trying to heal itself, or is int possibly something else, please help

If it’s brown and gooey like this, it’s brown jelly. I experienced this on a torch frag and I lost that head.

Carefully use a pippet or baster and suck up the goo and then see if you can dip this frag in Lugol’s Iodine solution and hope it recovers.

Will do, thanks

Wasn't able to do anything, got home and frag was completely bleached which I assumed means dead, have other frags in same tank which happens to be the QT tank, doing a 50 percent water change now, 1 casualty of a few I'm sure, though I hope not with what I got in the QT tank
