Micron filter bag getting dirty after just 3 days

I like filter cups over socks with floss and a sprinkle carbon or whatnot. No spraying or washing, just throw the floss in the trash and refill.

I've also had these for a few months now and love them vs socks. Used socks for 2+ years and dreaded tank maintenance. They never got completely clean so I always felt I was just putting somewhat less dirty socks back into the tank. I purchased some bulk filter floss off amazon, and swap it out about every 2 days on my 250. I actually purchased some nice acrylic ones from anything acrylic for my new tank I will be setting up in the next couple weeks.

But today I realized that my micron filter bag is already "dirty", even though my tank is empty. Just saltwater, bottled bacteria (Seachem Stability and other) dosage every now and then, dry rocks (marco rocks)

Is that happening because I didn't run the skimmer right from the outset?
Is this serious, and should I clean my filter bag immediately?

"Micron" is a unit of measure - 1 millionth of a meter - rather than a type of filter bag.

What is the micron rating on your bag? Maybe you bought bags with a small micron rating?

Could be wrong, but tank looks like a Red Sea tank, which would be either a 225 micron mesh or felt filter sock.

from what I have read and experienced it is pretty common practice to change out filter socks every 2-3 days. I am lazy and do it once a week. However I know that by being lazy and only doing it once a week I am creating a nitrate farm...so imo, either stay diligent and change every 2-4 days depending on your bio-load or don't do socks at all...
