Micron size for vacuuming the sump?

Planning to do my first sump cleanup. What size micron sock is good for collecting detritus in the sump?

Sump clean up? As in a dedicated sump clean versus just trying to remove debris in the water? I just syphon the base of all the sump compartments as part of a water change.
Other than that I use the original 225 micron socks that came with my RedSea 425 XL but with a roll of filter floss in each one. I pull it out bit by bit as it fills with debris then change it when it's "full".

Pump the down the sump, take water out of display if needed. Clean out sump with shop vac, refill and done.

Sorry I should put more info. I have this vacuum attachment to use with maxi jet 1200. I'm planning to re-siphon the water back into the sump through the filter sock without taking the water out and collecting the detritus, trying to see what micron filter sock is good with this method.

Ah! I get it now. How much detritus are we talking here? A felt/fabric sock will probably clog up quickly and a mesh sock will probably pass sediment more fine than the micro rating. I have 200 micron felt socks that clog up in 2-3 days and have not much in them other than trapped fine particles. Just recently started messing with 200 micron mesh socks but don’t have much feedback on them.
I am still a believer in the shop vacuum. You can drain the tank in buckets, pump down the sump and vacuum out the few gallons in the bottom of the sump. Reuse the clean water that was syphoned from the display and incorporate the water vacuumed out into a water change.
If you are only vacuuming a little detritus than the maxi jet method might be fine. The big box pet stores sell small filter bags for carbon and such that may be worth a try

A good amount is settling on the bottom and on the bio bricks, been about 9 months untouched now. I’ll try and look for a small filter bag. Thanks.
