Microscope ID: Diatoms

Below is a picture of the algae growing on my glass. It’s brown in color and I’m attempting to put together a game plan since it seems to be irritating my SPS.

I’m fairly confident the larger, grain of rice shaped critters are diatoms. But unsure of the finer grained material.

Thoughts?

The larger pointy creatures with a needle at both ends are diatoms. The other microorganisms are too out of focus to ID. Diatoms could be that small.
