The sample site.

Site pic looks like it might be cyanobacteria; what kind of water parameters do you have?

Then I added a bit of H2O2 to see what would happen and they became frantic. Lol

Then I added more until they all ceased to move.

As of yesterday before a 20% water change;
NO3 8ppm (RSP)
PO4 0.02ppm (RSP)
dKh 10 (RS)

It gets a little stringy and goes away when the lights are off.

Thinking Dinoflagellates but not sure what kind.

The tank is 3-4 months old

That's why I called you guys in, because it looks to me like dinos but I'm no expert on that stuff.
Lol.

I would bet cyano but...

One difficulty with Dino Diatom. There both round depending on the species.

This is very cool.
These are Small-Cell Amphidinium dinoflagellates.
Interesting that oxidizer made the inactive ones start to move - hadn't seen that before.

Awesome, now what is the best way to deal with them? Or is the tank just not mature enough to outcompete them? Will their numbers shrink with time?

Just received a delivery notification that my microscope is at home now. I hope to capture some shots of what is in my tank. I've been battling what i thought was a brown hair algae for a few months. If it's ok, I'll post my microscope shots here later.

I've been looking at picking up a microscope myself. Do you mind telling me what kind you got?
