Microscope Magnification

Hi everyone, I’m looking to purchase a microscope to help me identify algae types to make treating them easier, what magnification is generally good? I don’t want one too low but I also don’t want to spend a ton of money and not need as high a magnification!

@yeldarbj recommended the TELMU 40x-1000x to me. I haven't picked it up yet but probably will at some point
