So after beating amphidinium via silica dosing and more nutrients as well as phosphate, some months later i find myself battling ostreopsis, much worse looking but since i'm running carbon i haven't seen any toxic effect whatsoever.
The thing is, a couple of days after dosing, my glass is now flooded with diatoms. It's incredible how fast they reproduce. I could only find a single ostreopsis in this sample.
But on top of diatoms i'm seeing some really tiny fast swimming things that i couldn't identify and look nothing like the amphidinium i had before but swimming almost like them
1000X magnification
Here is an ostreopsis for size comparison 400x
