Microwave your chaeto

Just came across this article. Seems like chaeto can become a nuisance algae in waterways when not disposed of properly... microwaving it for 15s seems to kill it...

You would think anyone smart enough to be using cheato as a nutrient export would be smart enough to dispose of it responsibly.

Well I would have thought throwing it in the trash would be okay... but I’m guessing the stuff is pretty hardy and could make its way out of landfills.
