I've had a Midas Blenny for about 1 1/2years. Healthy enjoy watching its swimming action as well as hanging out in rock crevices. He was in a 25 gallon tank for some time and now recently 35 gallon tank. My major issue with him that it loves to grab a mouthful of sand and spit it out near the top of water. The sand then fall on the corals in the area. And does this quite often throughout the day. Such a brat. I have to clean up the mess with a turkey baster a couple times a week. He did it lots in the 25 gallon and now starting in the 35 gallon. Just curious if happens to others with a Midas Blenny? Thanks much for reviewing.

My midas and bicolor both randomly spit sand on my corals. They ARE brats!

My Midas blenny did same thing for about 2 weeks then just stopped. It was annoying when he was spitting sand all over but I still love my Midas with those big blue eyes lol.

What I later realized he may have been trying to eat the copepods. When I replenish my tank with pods is almost same time he started spitting sand.
