I have
one black clown
One small shy purple tang
And a midas blenny

They went through 2x prazipro
And day 8 on cp

The problem is midas blenny, sometimes he eats sometimes spits out food and from yesterday he is totally not interested in food, just hangs on one rock and chilling, no visual signs of anything, breathing is normal aswell. As noticed when he eats he eats only artemia, also tried garlic soaked everything. Just seems too depressed. Plan is to put them in dt in 7days if all goes well. Where he could recover in a more suitable environment. As he should be clear of ich or flukes. Should i be worried about him?

CP tends to inhibit appetites which is likely the cause. A secondary cause is likely stress as the blenny doesn't have a suitable rock that is high off the bottom of the tank where he/she can see predators coming from afar and fully retreat into.

FYI - it is not recommended to have any rock in QT/Hospital as it can absorb medication. You can confirm by testing copper that you have maintained theraputic levels otherwise you may want to start the clock over.

If you have a chance, I would to a local hardware store and pickup 1/2" pvc and a 1/2" pvc cap and give the blenny something a little higher off the bottom to help reduce stress. If he/she is still eating artemia, I would try to spot feed him.

Bump again for some #reefsquad help!

It's times like this that make me wish I had more experience with CP . . .

If you can get this fellow someplace secure, a hidey-hole that he can feel around him, and maybe an elevated place to perch, he may feel more confident and begin to eat. Have you tried live brine shrimp? The movement might be just what he needs to entice. Mix that with your normal food, and he might just grab something besides brine.

To add to what’s already been said (and I agree on all fronts), select foods can entice feeding. Live blackworms and live brine most fish find irresistible. Source these from your local LFS or online, watch how fast they gobble them down! :)

Love Midas Blennies one of my favorites. Try copepods. I ve had 2 of these guys and both times they were very shy and difficult to get eating. I agree with above posts of 90 degree pvc elbows. These guys like to perch near the safety of a hidy hole for safety. Try spot feeding copepods. I use the frozen cube kind. Mine took 4-5 days to start eating well. Seems like when they dont like certain foods as much they spit them out. Mine did that with mysis shrimp.
