Midas Blenny Shy for past 2 weeks

Hi all, I have had a Midas Blenny since January. After QT, I introduced it to my DT which only has a pair of clowns in it. It was doing great, eating like a beast, swimming all over the place.

All of a sudden for the past 2 weeks it has been extremely shy hiding in the rock. It is still eating but only grabbing a piece here and there and running back to the hiding spot.

Any ideas?

Mine will do that occasionally for a few days and then be back at owning the tank. Mine isn't aggressive at all, but it does rule over the clowns.

I did a water change yesterday and it stayed in the top rock until it was out of water! I hope mine snaps out of it.

No, at least never in my observation. Clowns are not agressive at all to it and that’s all I have in the tank.

Mine did the same as yours except it got beat up. She’s so scared to come out even after I got rid of her attacker. I had to capture her and Been hand feeding from an acclimation box

What beat her up? Maybe I should do the same?

I am just highly doubtful that any of the clowns would have been aggressive.

She must be stressed. In the absence of injury, disease, or observed bullying, I wouldn't mess with her. Catching her and putting her in a small acclimation box is just going to stress her further. I'd just observe until a visible sign presents itself.

Good idea, I wonder what stressed it? My water changes? It’s our favorite fish I’m hoping she pulls out of it
