My tanks 4 months old. IT was cycled for 2 months and completed nitrogen cycle beautifully. Added 2 clown fish which lived alone for a month. Then added coral beauty and this midas blenny. He immediately started with these spots. They are most noticeable in the morning and seem to diminish thru the day only to reappear the next morning. We are on day 3 with this happening. He is avid eater and seems to swim around normally. No other fish seem to have it... yet. I have been unable to catch him and when I try the spots get worse and he gets a color change spot on top fin.

The place I purchased claims they quarantine and do dips.

My tank is app 55 gallon cube with 16 gallon sump with sea lettuce refugium and tons of marine pure. Using filter sock but no protein skimmer at the moment.

Temp 78
Ph 8.06
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 0 (at least undetectable with ATI test kit)
Salinity 1.026

Have not turned lights on yet except for taking this video

Can’t open video on my phone- any still pics under white lighting?

I will try to get a better pict. He's a fast little guy
Im home for a little bit now and appears to have ich. Will need to be treated in a separate quarantine tank for 30 days at 80 degrees with coppersafe or formalin based medication.
Do any other occupants have even one dot?
Assure you increase O2 with treatment and have a reliable copper test kit (no API brand) to monitor level 2.25

Well nothing at all on blenny today but now clown has it. He's been perfect. Same as blenny, he's still eating and swimming around active.

Have checked both shops around me for the meds, do I have time to order? They had ich medications but not the ones you mentioned. Should I treat them in tank?

reef safe meds tend to also be ich safe.

If they are eating and seem ok otherwise, Amazon is pretty fast. Hyposalinity is another option.

The clownfish looks to have something different. I am setting up a 20 gallon tank to use as hospital tank and future quarantine tank now. Copper will arrive today, is it the right medicine for clown as well? How long should I leave tank fallow? Thanks again for all your help, love my little fishes and really want to do this right and give them best home.

Here's the clownfish. All water parameters are the same and she's still eating.

Everyone goes sooooo hard when ich is found . I’ve lived with ich for 7 years lost one fish to it and idk if that wasn’t even the cause …..as soon as them buggers start scratching feed 3-4x a day heavy not just brine shrimp but random foods especially tdo pellets ….and they’ll fight it on their own usually….about a month of heavy feedings Make their stomach pop out !! unless your fish is not eating at all then I learned your kinda screwed once a fish stops eating they usually don’t go back imo

I have found none that really work they might take the spots away but ich will forever remain in your tank if you have a reef there are NO options that work for ich ….just like herpies you may not see it but that stuffs still in ya

Are we sure the blenny doesn't just keep getting sand on it from going in the rockwork?

The clown looks more like an injury or lympho rather than ich.

Oooh, got a better one...
hat’s lymptho

Blenny doesn't seem to have anything on him today but it didn't seem like sand before.
