I put the Blenny in the DT last night and he bolted into one of the rocks. As of this afternoon he's still MIA. This is the first fish that I have when first introduced to the DT hid this long. I have a Royal Gramma, 2 T/P Clownfish, Firefish and a Melanrus Wrasse. I feed my fish twice a day and he didn't come out for the first feeding. How long before I need to worry.

Mine did this for about a week on and off. If you look close enough you'll probably see a little head poking out somewhere. They also sleep like this and sometimes look almost dead. Lol. Scared me a few times. They have a tendency to go back to their "spot" to sleep and hang out so once you find it more than likely you will always be able to find him. After about a month or so mine began eating right out of my target feeder. Now he's almost always out following other fish around. I'd guess 3 days to a week til you need to worry. Beautiful fish choice and good luck!

Thanks. He came out briefly an hour ago when I fed them Mysis, and he just popped out as I'm writing this for a minute swim around and went back to hiding again. :)

Glad to hear it came out! Mine was like that too to begin but now is better :)

I used to have one. They ate the coolest fish. When they get stressed or scared, they turn this crazy purple tiger stripe color. Really. He'll be fine. You'll see him a little more every day until he's comfortable in your tank. He'll pick a spot in your tank and that will be his little throne. They are great fish for any tank.

My midas blenny was MIA for 3 days when I got him. He was the first fish in the tank, he didn't start coming out regularly till about after a week and even then it was because he had new tank mates that he had to compete with for food.

He still stays pretty much hidden till he sees me walk by cause he thinks it's time to eat.

Here's mine

Awesome fish, really good at finding holes to hide in . Once he settles in you'll see him all the time.
