it looks like a midas to me. The African blonde midas blenny is very yellow like a yellow tang yellow. I was told they are more mild than the "other" midas. I don't know for sure. I got a few midas in the past and none of them was mild.

How pretty! I actually bought one that is blue like this yesterday. It's definitely a Midas Blenny. I just haven't seen them change colors from yellow to blue before. My last one stayed yellow the whole time.

hmm, let's us know if it is blue in your tank :-); These guys turn dark when stressed
Thats what it looks like... actually more blue. Hes been like this for several months and he happy. Very active personality. Must be the LED lighting.

I had one before, but he was never any variation of blue. He turned a mottled brown when stressed. Hopefully it stays blue, but I am happy to have a Midas blenny in my tank, regardless of color :)

I am thinking of one also, are they hardy? It's for my 120 gallon mixed reef, but I need fish that can eat pellet due to my travel.

Thanks

I had one in my 120. To be honest, I have no idea if they will eat pellets. I only fed frozen at the time.

Mine can eat the smallest pellets but not the 1 mm pellets until they get full grown. I've also had 2 beautiful yellow and pink ones turn blue slowly over a couple months until they decided to go carpet surfing. My latest is 6 inches with long streamers and eats anything I put in up to the 1 mm pellets

Mine eats NLS pellets. Picks at the Nori I feed the Tang too

It looks like a midas to me. I was looking into getting one for my tank but read they might go after fish same colour and shape. My wife loves our yellow watchmen goby so i passed. During research i read they change colour depending on their mood.

Mine eat frozen hikari mysis brine mix, lrs or rodgers reef food (they love it), l also feed pellets Spectrum .5 sinking 2x a day via auto feeder. He also enjoys the nori with my tangs and clowns. He is about 5" and is #3 in line at the table so he seems happy.

I had one in the same tank as a yellow watchman goby. They didn't interact since the blenny was more of a top level swimmer. They were in a 120 though, so I don't know how it would work in a smaller tank.

Mine lives with a yellow clown goby and they don't bother each other...my midas is a swimmer or hangs in his hole.
