midas blenny

I have them on a open top tank and it never jumped out. I have alot of hiding spots for it, so its happy.

They are known jumpers though.

Best fish ever, very colorful and active.

Agreed!
My favorite ever. Never jumped in mine.

Tips for not tempting them to jump:

1. Lid. - duh
2.Tall tank. No 12-16 inchers. Avoid verticle claustrophobia.
3. Low rockwork. Make sure they feel like there is open water upward to swim in, or they will jump to try to find it.
Put it this way, if they're favorite hiding place is 5 inches from the water line, they are 5 inches from jumping, all the time. Don't tempt them.
4. Hiding places. Lots of 'em. Empty coco worms shells are great. Empty barnacle shells are great.
So is drilling long tube like holes into rock. These guys have to feel safe and secure. Have to.
5. No other fish that will spook them. No bullying dottybacks or wrasses with them in a small tank.
No other fish with the same bodytype like a jawfish/purple tilefish/or other blenny.
