Midnight smokers in my tank!

I turned on the lights really dim to check something and I saw this

What is it spitting? The I started seeing others doing the same thing

Stimatellas or brittle stars Spawning?

Stomatellas, all of them were squirting their thing. It was interesting because they were squirting it rhythmically, about every two seconds. Because of the difference in density, the liquid moved like smoke. It was pretty amazing
