Well, after 2 moves in less than 2 years, the tank is up and running steady again.

Thanks Peace River. It has taken a lot of time and effort, especially with 2 moves. I’m super happy with where it is.

It look beautiful! I understand how hard it is to grow anything with 2 moves. I've moved twice in the span of 4 years, my first move wasnt too bad my second was hell, ammonia spiked in the main tank, and temperature dropped in all of the buckets the fish were in. unfortunately everything died except a yuma and chilli coral. Congrats on having a nice healthy tank now though! Whats the plan for the future? any plans for a clam or other sensitive inverts/coral?

I’m planning on a few more simpler sps pieces throughout, a bubble and a trachy on the sand bed, some scans and more zoas as well.

have my eyes open for a nice maxima clam too. The center rock has a nice valley just in front of the ricodias…….front and center, so it has to be a special one

It sounds like it’s going to turn out great!
As for my bad moves, I learnt from them and now am aiming for a healthy growing tank for the next few years with just enough nutrients to have “fast” growth.
Cant wait to see the process of the tank growing, especially when you find the perfect clam. I personally love my deresa and hope to have a nice open valley for him to grow into in my 4’ tank when he’s big enough for it (I don’t trust me CBB with a 2 inch deresa at the moment, when he hits 4-6 inch then I may trust the CBB with him).

He was beautiful, a shame he didn’t survive the first one… I mean, Atleast he gave you some experience with how hard clams can be sometimes.

If you can’t tell, I always learn from the death of something instead of look at it and feel guilty. Yes I will often feel guilty for it’s death but I learn from them and next time I attempt that animal or a similar species I will use the experience and lessons I get from their death then build on that.
