GORGEOUS wrasse! My all time favorite. :)

That's an incredible photo as well.

Terry, I'm not sure I'd quantify that one as a "bad" shot when the subject is so great.

I see yours lost a bit of the filament as well. Mine got his chomped off after introduction but it's slowly growing back.

LOL, I guess that's true and yes, he did lose part of his filament, but it was before he arrived. I am not sure that it will ever completely grow back. tbh, it is amazing this guy is alive. He was sold as a female (with the filament clearly there) along with another larger male back in August. Both were in terrible condition when they arrived - paper-thin, obvious physical damage and swimming issues. Sadly, I couldn't save the other male and it took 3 months for this one to really begin to thrive. He was in one of our QT tanks for so long that I finally just added rock, coral and chaeto so he would feel more at home, LOL. After being in there for so long, we decided it would be better to wait and add him to the display after we had another batch of fish ready to go in order to take some of the focus off him. Anyway, it's nice to finally have him in the big tank.

It's interesting, the other flashers are ignoring him (except for an occasional flash), but both of our Earl's have been on "high alert" - nothing really aggressive, just keeping an eye on him and an occasional chase, LOL. And the other fairy's could care less - go figure!

I believe it will, but it might take quite a while. As it's part of the dorsal soft tissue and not a dorsal ray, it should at least.

I recall you mentioning this to me at MACNA; sorry you had such a rough experience from this same retailer, yet again. It baffles me a bit on the degree of variable in what was sent out to us various individuals. Glad you were able to nurse this one back though! :)

Thanks so much, Brett! We have wanted a Tinker's for a while and when this little one came up, we couldn't resist. He is only 2 and 3/8", but what he lacks in size, he definitely makes up for in personality - Big fish in little body, LOL!

Thank you so much!

I don't usually post my bad shots, but have to share this one as it was the first sighting I've had of the Attenuatus since he was released from the acclimation box. of course, it had to be a butt shot - he was just too fast, LOL!

definitely a pic worth sharing. one of my all time favorite flasher. I'm so glad there's a few more that were available recently. :)

Thanks, Marvin! He is one of my fav's too. I still have a soft spot for Bell's Flashers - just wish they lived longer.

An updated FTS taken earlier tonight:

Anyone want to take a guess on where the new LED lights are located in the tank?

So so nice M&T!! I wish y'all were closer, I might be able to see this beauty in person ans possibly snag frags.

Thanks so much, Brad! If you are ever in our neck-of-the-woods, you are more than welcome to drop in for a visit.

I'm guessing the leds are on the left side. Look real close at the slimmer. But honestly if you would have never said anything I would have NEVER noticed. Amazing. How do you guys like the LEDs?

I even tried to "cheat" by looking back at your Flickr thread and can't tell for sure. I'd guess right in the middle. But, more importantly, your 5-week growth rate from your last FTS is ridiculously impressive! I think your corals grow more in a month than mine do in a year! :)

Now I'm about this (<->) close to buying the Hydra52 when I was (<----------------->) before. Haha.

Are you controlling it through your Apex or did you go with the Director? Also, what do you think on coverage over a 36x36 space?

Led placement: I'm gonna say on the back, almost directly over the overflows. The corals appear to have different (deeper) coloring there.

It keeps getting better!

How many LEDs do you have in there? You still have the 14ks and VHOs correct?

Not sure if anyone has asked this yet, but are you doing any carbon dosing or adding any additives like Zeo, Trace elements, or AAs?
