Thank you so much! Speaking of visitors, we'll be hosting our annual reef party on October 12th. If you are in the area that weekend, you are certainly welcome to join us.

Thank you so much! We do have a new project we're working on... :haha:

New project?? Do tell!!

Nice. a new tank addition? ;)

New project?? Do tell!!

We are replacing our extremely dysfunctional 50g frag tank with a custom design by a local tank builder. The new tank dimensions will be 48"Lx24"Wx12"H.

The stand is now essentially complete. Mike added the top to the stand, primed and added 3 coats of paint this past weekend. We'll take some pics of the finished stand and post them soon...

Looking forward to seeing the new frag tank setup!

I was actually wondering on what you dose, how often you dose and the same for feeding?

We run Ca and Kalk reactors and occasionally dose calcium, alkalinity and mag to keep parameters stable when we have an increase in consumption and also dose iodine twice per month.

As far as feeding goes, our fish are fed a variety of foods which include a mix of frozen Hikari foods, PE mysis, cyclopeeze, Spectrum pellets, and dried marine algae. We feed frozen food 2x per day plus a couple of small snacks (usually pellets and/or flakes) and provide algae on a clip 3x per week.

With the abundance of well-fed fish in our tank, we have not found it necessary to feed our corals.

As promised, here's a pic of the completed stand:
