Mike and Terry's 300g Reef

Very nice, got me drooling over those semi's and you know I love the choati
Ditto that, and I'm not an angel guy. They've tempted me a couple times now.

Thanks Hunter! My pics do not do the semi's any justice - they are absolutely stunning in a reef and very personable.

We had a bit of a mishap today while trying to trim back the massive stylo colony that has been stinging one of our efflo's in the mid section of the tank. The VidaRock branch that the 8 lb (yes I weighed it, LOL) colony was attached to, snapped and fell to the sand bed. Gotta love those unplanned rock scape changes, LOL!

Thats funny I just had to rescape a section for an overgrown stylo. Lets just say my big red dragon colony had to be restarted, haha.

It's been a couple of weeks since our last update. We weren't real happy with the way the rock scape looked after we removed the lemonpeel so we decided to take another stab at it. Here's a pic of the finished rock structure after adding most of the corals back in:

The change opened up a bit more swimming room and a larger cave area which our Desjardini tang (Big Daddy) LOVES!

And a few more random pics:

M. chaoti (aka Cheetah Girl) - she is soooo tiny!

G. semifasciatus - Swallowtail Angelfish (aka Mac) with one of his females. He's a beauty and his streamers seem to be growing by the day, LOL.

And of course, no pic update would be complete without our Regal:

Just saw your update. The new 'scape looks nice and I love the new additions! You two have such great taste.

Cheers,
Z

Thanks Z! I think we have similar taste in fish...

I played around with the Nikon d300s tonight and shot some video. Of course as soon as I turned the camera on, the 10:00pm ramp down started, so there's too much blue. You can see the space that opened up after we took out the stylophora. It had burned and shaded a good portion of the two extra large Pocillopora sp. colonies.

Wow that looks great! Can't wait for the October meet. Gonna try and make it this year, hopefully my work schedule won't get in the way this year.

My mind gets confused watching this. Trying to figure out which is more awesome. The reef or the fish.....MIND BLOWN! HA!

No seriously! ;)

Awesome video, really enjoyed it. The aqua scape looks great.

WOW! It's been awhile since I last looked in here and most definitely agree with above praise on video.

Cheers, Todd

Amazing video! I agree with Rev, tough to focus on what you should be watching! So much eye candy...

Love the Bipartitus! That is one fish that success has eluded me with...

Thank You! As for the bipartitus leopards, it has a lot to do with finding healthy specimens. We acquired ours thru LiveAquaria as juvenile females and they arrived in GREAT condition. We QT'd and treated them with Prazipro as a preventative before adding them to our reef.

What Fairy wrasse is the one that comes in from top left o right at he 35 second mark? It has purple head that fades along the body and yellow flasher fins. I love it!!! As far as your tank & fish... ::drool:: AMAZING!
