Well, this is my official notice. I'm entering the contest. This should be a lot of fun. I have such a long way to go. Haven't even finished the stand yet. Here's a pic of the tank as it sits now.

It's 30 gal. 2'x2'x1'.

We love the dimensions of the Deep Blue rimless...

We're glad to have you in the contest and we're looking forward to following your build!

I feel the 30g db tank is almost like cheating because its so nice looking even with nothing in it

Looking forward to the progress of this one

Awesome!! Good luck!

I haven't done a thing yet. So there's no doubt it really is a nano in 90 contest for me. I'm a poor reefer, so my theme is going to be "recycled". As I'm using equipment that was previously taken out of service. Can't wait to get started, I'm excited.

As you can see, I haven't started yet. I'll try to do something every day. Some of my recycled parts need to be renovated.

My wife saw my little sign and asked me if I was going to sell her gun. I said, "What?" She has a Beretta Nano.

Almost everything I'm using to build this 30 gallon is recycled used equipment. I'd better get my posts in this month to stay in the contest.

Here's the used 250 watt metal halide before cleaning and painting and mounting.

Here's a door that I'm using for the cabinet. I took the measurements at work and made them at home. I reversed the styles and rails, so the door were too wide and too short. Wow, what a stupid mistake. Had to make four more doors at my expense. So, I'm using two of them on my stand.

Here's a old skimmer soaking in bleach outside. I'm going to have to repair the pump or get a new one.

Here's the cabinet. All the wood is recycled. The trim pieces I got out of an office building I remodeled years ago; never could find a use for them.

Can you see the concrete on the 2"x4"'s? They were form boards.

This is going to be my sump. It's a 15 gallon that my wife picked up off the curb down the block and brought home.

These I actually spent money on, but not a whole lot. Got three of them for $5.00 from the Reef Raft live sale. These are frags waiting to go the 30 gallon nano in 90.

How's the tank coming along?

I'm obviously disqualified for not keeping up to date on the posting. There's no excuse. Normally, I'm not a quitter. I am setting this up and have built a real nice stand for the tank, but I've decided to not have it as a free standing tank and am hooking it up to another tank and sump. Best of luck and success to the other contestants.

If you make a build thread for it elsewhere on the site, please post a link to it here so we can see how it continued.
