Wow. Your tank is beautiful. I have a softie/LPS tank also and fish. I returned to reefing after about about a 15 year break. Back in the "olden days" it was a mostly softie/LPS world. I love the movement. So that is where I am today. No shame. You may have swayed me to get a Xenia. I have been afraid but I love them. Is yours pulsing?
Thank you I have a Giant Pom Pom Xenia in the middle of the tank that grows on one stalk and don't spread which I highly recomend. I also have a few pulsing Zinia that Spread more and have to be pruned often.

Is that a blue sponge on the right side? It's gorgeous whatever it is. Do you do anything special to keep it (if it is a sponge) I've never had success with sponges but love them.
Thank you that is a blue spong and I contribute its success to the way and what I feed.
I feed a DIY blender mush a few times a day, which consists of multiple sized fresh and frozen fish no flakes and no pellets.
Having a bare bottom tank with great flo, good skimmer, enough fish all contribute to being able to do this.

I agree ,the soft leathers provide the movement in the tank for viewing . There the only thing that kept my interest over the years .Have learned a thing or two just from their reaction .Now my love of the reef has grown and am able to keep a mixed reef tank. Learning all the time.Thank you for sharing it's so important .
Thank you Robert

Your tank is unbelievably beautiful. Looking for some advice from an obvious pro. I am just getting started on my tank and it will also be a softy dominated tank. I am looking for a softy that will be the "centerpiece" of my tank. Something that will be a stand out. Which coral would you consider the most impressive softy that you have and something you'd recommend to build the rest of the tank around as it's centrally located specimen? Thanks for letting us enjoy your outstanding tank!!

Thank you Enarp for your compliments on my tank but I wouldn't consider myself a pro.
As for a coral I would recommend to build your tank around? It is really up to you and your personal likes.
Alot of coral pieces in my tank that are special to me are because they came from people I respect, friends tanks or my local club members.
The best advice I would give is do what makes you and the people around you happy.

Ok. Thanks for the advise. Guess I better get back to doing some more research and then more online shopping. No locals here and the nearest store worth visiting is 3 hours away.

O man you just made me remember how fortunate I am to have 5-6 LFS with in 20 miles of my house.
Best of luck I never ordered a coral or fish on line.

Beautiful...something to shoot for...do you dose anything? love the movement!

Oh my! Absolutely stunning tank. This is a great example of what can be done with softies, this tank has maximum wow factor

Whats ur maintanance schedule and filteration? Im planning smthing similar

Keep new photos coming! I get excited when I see you post in this thread Mike!

That's what I'm talking about! I would put this tank up against many sps dominated tanks and think it would win for nicest reef!

I might have missed it but do you have a list of all the softies in your tank? I would like to know/copy you...hehe!
