Sorry to hear that, it is getting hard to find quality softies these days

I have used Fuel amino acid in the past but haven't noticed a difference other than if you use too much you will get a algae bloom.
I think they are getting enough from the fresh foods especially whole foods like clams and their stomach content/bacteria and such.
The key is to find the right balance for your tank as far as feeding amount and maintenance. If you feed to much or have too many fish you're going to have a lot of upkeep to have a healthy tank,If you feed too little your coral will not be happy.
It takes time to find that balance and it changes as you add things(new coral or fish)to it.
Beautiful tank, comrade

Are you still using the fwx Diverter? I’m curious how it’s held up long term.
Yes/No I still have it but it is set up as a closed-loop now with all 6 ports open. It broke about a year ago and I cant get a hold of the company.

I can't find anyone that carries those gorgs. :( Does anyone know of an online store who does? Reefgen.com only sells to retailers.

Mike, do you dose any phytoplankton or 'coral foods' on your tank? Or do you just dose?

No! I tried phytoplankton a few times but I eventually always ended up with a algae outbreak and stoped.
I don't think it was beneficial to my tank so I stoped.(key words MY TANK)
I feed my DIY blender mush food and that along with the photo was probably to much nutrients for the tank causing the algae boom? Every tank is different and you need to find the balance of your tank.

Was just curious as yours is a long term soft coral tank and wanted to check if phytoplankton was something I should look more into. Still early days on mine so thank you for the reply :)

Interesting comment on phyto..... I culture live phyto and dose about 30ml every other day to a 136g DT/sump.....partially to feed pods and partially because it is the foundation to natural reefs so I try to replicate...... hhhmmm. I have NPS gorgs that are very healthy and attribute that partially to the phtyo.

That's great that it works for you in your tank. Keep up the good work
