after further observation, there might, might be a point at the center.
this is my most skittish fish. all the others photo bomb, not this one.

in your FTS i don't see any other fish in there with a spike?? possible spike like tube worm bumped into??

male lyretail anthias has a spiked dorsal, but its quite a bit smaller than the fox.
two vermatids in the tank, but the fox would have to be swimming parallel to the bottom.
bta have enough juice to sting it?

wasn't there last night at lights out, 1230. trying to remember when I looked in today. grandson is visiting.
it's very obvious though, so thinking it was this afternoon/eve.

yea, I kinda like that one too.

they had a two head dendro with 4 or 5 babies listed regular $160, live sale price $80.
I was pm with them about it and decided not to pull the trigger. I missed the post a bit later...
