Mike's 150G SC Aquarium Build

Made this camera thing even worse, picked up:

Tripod - Zomei Z666
Wireless Shutter Release
Avast Port Hole Extra Long
Lens Filter Kit

How do you like that tripod? I was looking for a new one myself.

Hey Greg, I just ordered it today, but I watched a video on it and it seemed to be great quality and some nice features. I am new to the camera world and this will be my first tripod. I will post my own review and some pictures. Should be at my house on Thursday and can provide some details.

Tank is looking great!!! Cant wait to see some more pics with the new camera lens! I especially love the shot of your flame wrasse!! Great looking corals too.

My first attempt at top downs using the Avast Marine Porthole. This is all shot using a regular stock canon lens, I'm still trying to figure out the macro lens.

WWC Honeycomb Acro

Blue Eyed Blonde B****

WWC Yellow/Green Torch

Red Acans

Cornbred Rainbow Infusions

Bubblegum Chalice and Jawbreaker

Rose/Scarlet/Black Widow Anenome (whatever ya wanna call it!!!)

Wild Sarmentosa and WWC Copperhead Cyphastria

Sunny D's / WWC Jingle Bells Cyphastria / Forgot name (Tweaked help me out, whatever coral celery stick stole from Dena at FUPA Christmas)

Really glad I found this thread! I am wanting to get a 120 and a buddy of mine mentioned SC Aquariums. Now I need to decide if I want to spend the time to build my own stand or do the PNP version of the 120. Surprisingly the 120 prices aren't nearly as high as I thought they would be when compared to other big box manufacturers.

The tanks are great and I really enjoy mine. I was happy with the stand that we did, took awhile as I was battling someone else schedule but I couldn't really complain too much.

Do you have any other pictures of the stand before the tank was put on it? What is the tank sitting on, just ply wood? Thanks in advance! Sold my 75 gallon fresh water setup today. Should be pulling the trigger on the 120 very soon! Although I don't want to spend my time building another stand, I think id rather such it up and build it to my liking.

Stand is made out of 2x4, 2x6 and 3/4 inch ply. I'll see if I can dig up some older photos.

Thanks, I really appreciate it!

This is the only interior photo I have from the build.

Been awhile since I updated this thread. Have had a lot of down in this build...but I think we are finally getting somewhere.

Looking really good Mike, I was just thinking of this build this week! Been a while, but worth the wait for the update!

Hi Mike, I am looking at the same 150 that you have from SC, any concerns, problems ect? I am also considering one of their stands. The pricing seems to be too good to be true so I am concerned about the quality and the thickness of the glass. Thanks!

No issues what so ever. The newer tanks are nicer with the 3 one inch holes. Still in love with the tank and yes it was an epic deal. Don't have their stand so I can't comment.

Good luck!

A couple new pictures to share. Tank seems to be doing well. Learning how to use this camera.
