Mikes 90g cube build

Ahh I see. You’re like an hour away from me, are you collecting off islamorada? By the way I checked out your tank. Looking solid AF dude. If you’re looking for any RFA, I got a guy in WPB who is usually stacked with them.
I am going to get a few of them actually. I will be ready for some RFAs mid to late January when I get my torches and other corals out of the quarantine tank.
@RichtheReefer21 gave me a contact for ultras 8 for $200 so I was gonna buy from there. But if I can drive up to WPB and avoid shipping issues, that may be better.

Welcome back! Looks like you’re of to a good start.
I would definitely try to seed the tank with some ocean live rock or mud as others suggested. You’re going to have a much easier time when introducing corals that way :)

Be a bit careful with dumping in all of your stock at once, especially when you started with dead rock that takes a lot of time to mature. That amount of waste being produced all at once could cause some issues.

Love the jawfish by the way! I’ve been on the fence about getting in gone of them due to concerns about them handling reef tank temperatures.

A good start for sure. A curve 3.5 should be fine. I just hooked up a curve 5 to my tank and it's pulling dark skim mate right away in too deep of water. Building a platform for it soon.

I'm not too sure how different they really are. The curve series I mean. I believe the 5 and 7 use the same pump and the 7 is just a couple inches taller than the 5.

A gem tang eh? Be sure to spoil it!

edit: 7 is a lil bit bigger in all around, with a larger pump.

Thanks brother man! I will go bug SMS and have him show me where i can go farm some nice macro's and some mud ( hopefully he doesn't suggest gross riviera beach in FL) Luckily i am in Brickell once a week, close enough to go to any rec he gives me. I still have my 3 fish in quarantine. been about 3 weeks now. Jawfish (DON PEPE cause hes from Mexico) is thriving at 78F, he has such a great personality and he is an absolute stunner. Thank you for the kind words i will post updates soon!

Tease! Beautiful!

If ur using a cell phone, press the phone square against the glass and then touch Don on ur screen. It will auto focus and set lighting to that spot u touch. Then snap away, take like 10, and pick the best one.

If u have a Samsung, s8 or later, i might be able to show u a few tricks.

Try it that way.

dang Rich! Look at these things they are happy. I’ll get better photos of Don Pepe like this one of him set trippin and trying to look scary

Thanks dude! Yeah I want a gem or a white tail bristletooth, my only issue is bristletooth are prone to getting sick. I really like purples too. Unfortunately in my set up I can only get one. I definitely need to upgrade my skimmer, the 5 is working well for you?

Side note. I forgot to mention I got my 25 watt uv sterilizer, I haven’t set it up. I didn’t realize it was so dang big. Would you guys recommend downsizing the UV? The one I have is rated for 150g
