MIKE'S Deep Blue 75 Rimless

Wow Nice tank and Nice Sump!
I like how you said "Switched out sumps the other day and moved some things around like it took you ten minutes.
I would die if I had to switch out sumps or change anything under the stand. It would be an all day ordeal for sure.

Thank you. It was a full day to swap out the sumps. That was with everything ready to go and help from 2 members here.
Another day to clean up the wiring, tubing and mount all the equipment

I got the acrylic sump bare from a friend 2 weeks ago and cut my own baffles. It was a stock eshopps sump.

Beautiful corals bro. Since you added the Biopellet reactor alongwith the GFO reactor, what are your PO4 and NO3 readings now?

Sorry, I just saw your post now.

My readings were always low before the pellets. I was running chaeto and gfo. Kept it around .03 po4 and 0 trates.
I started the pellets so I could eliminate the fuge. Made it a frag section.
With the pellets, they pull the nitrates out completely. Once that happens, they stop pulling po4. So I been dosing nitrate once the po4 starts to creep up.
Readings as of a week ago. 0 nitrate. Po4 was .02

Thanks for that bro.

Do you recall roughly how many lbs of liverock you added to the display and sump?

And some new SPS photos would be greatly appreciated. :D

There's about 50-60 lbs of rock. None in the sump.
Aside from the 3 pieces of branch rock I added last year. All my other rock is about 13yrs old.

Wow, that rock is very matured. :)

Bump for update. How is the tank doing? Got a couple of questions: did you notice improved colours when you switched to the calcium reactor? What do you feed the fish and corals and how often? Thanks.

Been a while. Lots of other stuff going on this spring and summer.
No change in color with calcium reactor. But the increase in growth was phenomenal.
Ecobak pellets been running 10 months now.
Haven't done a water change since the new sump went in back around December.
I do not feed corals.
I feed fish Hikari marine S, twice daily via an auto feeder. Half a sheet of brown nori every other day.

Only issue I have right now is GSP taking over. Climbing my SPS. Looking into Fenbendazole treatment for that.

Tank looks great! Awesome growth too! Beautiful reef. :)

Did a fenbendazole treatment to kill off the GSP. Lost a lot of the color and some colonies of SPS.

This is a beautiful tank man! So decided to oust the fuge for a mini frag tank and converted your BRS reactor to bio pellets? Don't know much about bio pellets! But looks good!
