And so it begins.
The 150 Tall is running out of space. So it's time to share.
I got the 50g stock tank today.
I have to say it were a whole lot easier getting it down the stairs compared to the 150.
It only took one old guy.
Probably picking up lumber for the stand and a few insulation boards for the basement wall and ceiling. A lot of overhead copper pipe, as we have baseboard heat in the house.

not yet. it's kinda a weekend project at the moment.
I have to cover the copper pipes in the ceiling (house heating from the boiler to the base boards). there's a few over where the tank is going. during the summer the humidity get's so high the pipes form condensation, which I'm concerned might drip copper in to the tank.

went to Home Depot last weekend, got the lumber I needed for that project, but they didn't have the foam panels I want to put up. trip to Lowes this weekend.

and this part of the project I didn't think it would interest anyone.
so ceiling this weekend.
next weekend pick up the lumber needed for the stand and drop that off to my pops.
he made the stand for my 150. so I got another project for him.

so I picked up lumber and foam panels yesterday to do the ceiling.
I'm loading it up in to my truck when the guy next to me sez "hey pops... you need help with that?"
guess I really are old.

got part of the ceiling done.

NOTE TO SELF:
Liquid Nail is not for ceiling applications... just like it sez in the directions.
good thing it matches my hair color.

measure once, cut once, YOU get to go resupply.

71-72 Were falling fast ;Facepalm now 75 still closing up ins/foamboard..36 n counting.

we've got a whole house generator so I don't worry about the power going out and losing heat.
silly me didn't consider the boiler going out on a weekend. tank heater was fighting to keep up
with the room temp dropping in to the mid 50's.
